Best game ever.

I have galaxy on fire 1 and 2. I like galaxy on fire 1 because its very simple. I like galaxy on fire 2 for audio dialogues and roaming freely around space stations.

A great addition to any library, especially at the cost of free! Only issue: missions do get repetitive. Theres a lot of content repeated, but its still fun.

This game is great! Period. However, the reason it doesnt get 5 stars is simply because Galaxy On Fire 2 is out and it totally 100% perfects the genre. But remember, this game is the perfect add on to those who loved GOF2 and want some background to Keith T Maxwell

It reminds me of the old wing commander PC game. Mission 12 freezes in the middle of a cut scene, I simple cannot play any more... Its too bad, since I like the game . I have an iPhone 4 with latest IOS

This game is good, for the part of it that works. The cutscene bug in mission 12 ruins the game though, and I cant give more than 1 star to a game thats this broken. Making cutscenes skippable might be a workable fix. An update for widescreen devices would be nice too. iOS 6.0.1 on an iPod 5th gen.

The graphics look great, a whole lot better than the regular one. At least on the title screen. I havent played on the HD version yet because it wont play my game that is saved on iCloud that I transferred from the regular version. It says that I require the expansions, but it wont restore my purchases when I try.

Mission 12 cutscene freezes and I can no longer challenge friends because of the openfient shutdown add Game Center please

Says the game is for the iPhone only and I play this on the iPad? I find the game a little short

This game strongly reminds me of the old DOS game Privateer by Origin who also made the Wing Commander series. Gameplay is very similar: you are a pilot for hire providing escort and transportation on various deep space missions. Your ship is upgradable through credits earned in missions. Earn enough to get a better class of ship. Altogether, nicely realized and enjoyable.

Actually the FIRST game where the accelerometer-controls are working PERFECTLY! Story is a bit short, but cruising through space just feels goid and upgrading to better ships is a lot of fun.

this is one one of best games i plaued.. i played it on nokia few years ago, so i downloaded it, galaxy in this game ia very big, so it will take very long time to win this game, only negative is that u can play only few kind of mission, about 6..

Well I must say it reminded me good times playing Freelancer. This one gives very good game expirience. If I could wish something more: longer story mode. But still its one of the best Ive played on iPhone. Looking forward for part two.

This game is to a certain extent reminiscent of good old classic Elite and its clones and "inspired by" games. It has missions (and actually starts as missions only in the beginning), but also has some free-play, when you choose yourself where to go and what to do. Different weapons/shields, different ships - all this is present in game. One of the most important benefits of this game for me was the way controls are organized - they suit touch screen very much (unlike controls in some first person shooters for example). Its a pleasure to play, and it doesnt end quick. Totally recommended.
