After this game, I bought GOF 2!!! That one is about 30 years after this. This game, the classic, gives you a sneak peek of the second version. What I really love is he music. *GENIUS!*

The game is massively bugged. Every night the game re-installs itself onto my iPod. Please fix this is getting annoying!

Sadly Fishlabs is going the way of EA, and a couple of other FTP franchises. This was a great game, maybe even as good if not comparable to Free Space, and Free Space 2, and the Wing Commander Saga Series of Games. The game has been altered from its original context, almost nearly completely foricing you to buy Credit Packs. It is possible to play without them but you will eventually get to a point where you will have to buy them to continue. There is no way you can beat 10+ Fighters and a Cap Ship with the very 1st Scout Ship, no way.If this game got un-govened and had its original full content and was $4.99 Id gladly buy it, but the F2P, P2C ruined it.

I first started playing this game almost 4 years ago, and now it and GOF 2 are my favorite iOS games ever. Theres no possible way you can regret either of these games, unless you just have as much taste in games that the kids of my generation have in decency.

I started out as a noob, and now im addicted to this game very very muchhhh!!!!!!! I love this game !!!! But u cant use hyperdrive on the 2nd version... :( but u can still uses jumpgates though

The second is a better game without a doubt. However, I find this one more fun to play. The controls are better, the layout simpler, and graphics smoother. The story is a bit short, but theres plenty of missions to keep you busy.

I like the game and all but it talked about a storyline, which is quite short to me. Easy to get money and so are most of the missions. Just needs more of a storyline...

I started playing this game after GoF2 kept crashing every five minutes. I thought maybe its just my pod. But after reaching a point in the game where there is a never ending cut scene of your wingman Christine going after some traitor guy, and nothing else happens ever; I daresay that Im fed up and done with these games. As well as anything else I see the fish labs brand on forever. Goodbye.

It crashes for me at the scene where Christine is supposed to die. She just keeps flying and flying and flying forward. CHRISTINE WHY U NO EXPLODE AND DIE

Diversity of weapons and performance upgrades is poor. Very poor. Zero strategy is involved. Because of that and the 1980s-era enemy AI, there is zero strategy involved in battle. Aiming fluidly is difficult because the controls havent been tuned. This takes away even what little fun there is in mindlessly making bad guys go boom. Most of the missions are comically bad. The one that made up my mind to delete involved a deathmatch-type escort mission where you dogfight enemies until a timer runs out. A single enemy appeared, so I spent the biggest part of the 3-minute mission timer staring at a bland starscape. The economy makes it extremely difficult to advance your ships build. The trade systems wings are clipped by ridiculous travel fees. That pulsing IAP button might be tempting if the game was even mediocre. Ship designs are bland, like the rest of the artwork. The music is less awesome than this sentence. So, were pretty much down to the story, which means Ive run out of nice things to say. Conclusion: dont bother. The developers didnt.

I give gof a 3. Gof2 is much better because of the format I give that a five

This is a good app, however since it is older and im used to galaxy on fire 2 HD, the graphics are a turn off

You know graphics play an important part in GOF. This one was bad. How do you expect me to move from GOF 2 to GOF and have the same feeling about it. Terrible!!! Ahhhhh!

They have several great concepts. But when things go bad. They go BAD. Dont expect to hear from them if you submit a ticket. I have emailed them every other day for 3 months and havent even been granted the courtesy of a reply. Take a chance. Its up to you. But beware, if you spend money with them on upgrades you are wasting your time and money.
